The Key to Success
As Society Cleaners commemorates next year the tenth
anniversary of its Key to the City Award, it looks back to its forty years of
service. Commissioner Cabrera, the Coral Gables Commission and the Mayor had a chance to review the history of a family business opened to the public in 1954 that has become an industry leader in wedding
gown cleaning and care. Miami-Dade Commissioner Sosa and the County Mayor in
extending a Proclamation to Society Cleaners, commended its impeccable business
practices and dedication to the community. The Coral Gables landmark was one of
the first institutions to avoid ground contamination, to engage in
energy-efficient technology and to find eco-friendly state of the art equipment.
Society Cleaners, over the years, has a faithful clientele that commutes from
as far away as The Bahamas. Couture care clients reach us from Palm Beach.
Wedding gowns find their way to Coral Gables from New York, California and Paris. Brides have sent their treasured dresses from far corners like Tokyo. Throughout Society's long life, it is proud to have been the choice dry cleaning establishment for a host of business, legal, medical and media luminaries. Our
